75 Years of Leadership, Friendship
and Service

My Dear Link Sisters of the Eastern Area,

Welcome to the 46th Eastern Area Conference celebrating “75 Years of Leadership, Friendship and Service” honoring our legacy of service to our communities and our bonds of friendship. The Eastern Area Conference and Events Planning team, under the leadership of Links Kimmie Jackson and Agnes Wilson, along with our Honorary Chairs Links Linda Wormley Meade, Rhonda Starks Crowder, and Sherilynn Johnson Kimble have worked tirelessly to plan and execute a phenomenal virtual Area Conference.

We have planned an informative and educational conference which will include: A Parliamentarian’s Academy, Plenaries, Program & Operational Workshops, Vendors Marketplace, Program & Operational Pavilion, Entertainment and time for networking and “sister-shipping!” I know you will find the programmatic and operational best practices and shared educational experiences empowering and engaging. Our time together is an opportunity to Embrace our Legacy and Cultivate our Future, enabling us to adapt, grow and be prepared to continuously meet the needs of those we are privileged to serve. We will also remain committed to fulfilling the vision of our Founders Margaret Rosell Hawkins and Sarah Strickland Scott on whose shoulders we proudly stand. My Link Sisters, this is your conference. I hope your conference experience changes you for the better – mind, body and spirit and fills us with a renewed sense of purpose and passion for our beloved organization that will carry us for another 75 years!

In Friendship & Service,

Shuana Tucker-Sims, Ph.D.
Eastern Area Director
