Volunteer Information

As we prepare for the Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Southeastern Region 34th Biennial Mothers' Regional Conference, we are excited to invite you to sign up for volunteer shifts to help make this event a success.

We need volunteers for various roles and time slots throughout the event. Whether you can contribute a few hours or more, your support will make a meaningful impact as we welcome the mother members from the Sweet, Sweet Southeastern Region to this year's event.

Role

Primary Responsibilities

Community Service Support

Support MAL in Community Service presentation and other tasks related to community service.

  • Assist MAL as needed during the Saturday Foundation Breakfast presentation.
  • Serve as event hostesses for service guests, escorting guests to assigned table.

Courtesies & Protocol Assistants

  • Assist the Regional Protocol Chair and Host Event/Chapter Protocol Chair with task relating to protocol, including dais room set for general session and other events.

Decor Support (TBD)

  • Support décor vendor to execute event vision for event spaces (e.g. Friday night/Saturday night party, general meeting session room).

Thursday Night Welcome Reception Support

  • Provide support to Thursday Night Welcome Reception as determined by Event Chair, REB, and Eventsibles.

Pre-Event Support

  • Conduct inventory of conference items (e.g., conference bag items, name badges, etc.)
  • Collate bags for distribution

Registration Support

  • Distribute MRC Materials (Conference bags, name badges, lanyards, etc.)
  • Provide materials for VIPs/REB members to Leadership Assistants
  • Welcome guests and answer preliminary event questions

Saturday Gala Support

  • Provide support to Saturday night gala as determined by the Event Chair, REB, and Eventsibles.

Vendor Committee Support

Serve as onsite liaison between vendors and Eventsibles.

  • Direct vendors to assigned tables per pre-designated floor plan.
  • Confirm logistics and answer questions (set-up/strike procedures, agenda confirmations, additional assistance as needed.

Workshop Ambassador and Workshop Room Support

  • Workshop Ambassador (WA) – Serves as workshop support host for speaker.  
    • Connect with speaker via email prior to arrival to confirm workshop logistics.
    • Meet workshop speaker in lobby and escort to room.
    • Ensure room is set according to event BEO (provided by Eventsibles).
    • Serve as onsite liaison to speaker while onsite.
  • Workshop Room Support (WRS)  – Confirm attendee workshop registration (important role to ensure registrants attend session selected during registration).
    • Help with flow of attendees into room.
    • Verify assigned workshop (workshop will be listed on back of badge).
    • Gently encourage/redirect attendees to go to assigned workshops.
    • Support Workshop Ambassadors as needed.

  • This is the perfect role for the person who is willing to jump in and assist where needed.  No specific role description but a vital component of the volunteer team.
