Locust Street Art (LSA)
For our 2024 Eastern Region Northern Area Workday, our host chapter, the Buffalo Chapter, is pleased to support Locust Street Art (LSA). For 63 years, Locust Street Art has been nurturing talent and creativity, empowering individuals to excel in the visual arts while fostering self-expression and a sense of belonging. Locust Street offers various community-supported FREE studio arts classes to individuals of all ages, and Locust Street offers low-cost specialized workshops and custom services to the community and beyond. Locust Street Art draws students of all ages from the city of Buffalo and surrounding areas, providing a safe space for exploration and creativity. Many participants are African American youth residing in underserved, low-income zip codes.
We invite you to support this well-deserving non-profit organization by purchasing art supplies and by supporting the Buffalo Chapter’s Friday Night Fundraiser – “A 90s Hip Hop and R&B Throwback Party for the Arts”. All art supplies and proceeds from the Friday Night Event will support the mission of Locust Street Art. Art programs at Locust Street Art offer skill development, community engagement, and access to resources. Art, in general, is a creative outlet that can be therapeutic and can enhance mental well-being.
Let’s all support this worthy endeavor!
