October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the Burke-Fairfax Chapter is partnering with Bethany House of Northern Virginia.
Bethany House is dedicated to helping women and their children who have experienced domestic violence. The shelter provides a safe haven where families can regain their health and dignity. Bethany House offers a comprehensive range of services, including emergency shelter, counseling, and support for emotional and physical recovery. Their mission is to stabilize families, offering them the resources and support needed to rebuild their lives.
Once families are stabilized, Bethany House goes a step further by assisting them in securing permanent housing solutions. This helps to ensure a smooth transition back into the community, empowering women to live independently and safely. The shelter's programs are designed to promote self-sufficiency, providing job training, financial education, and other essential skills.
Supporting Bethany House means making a direct impact on the lives of abused women and their children. By donating, Jack and Jill members will contribute to helping to provide safety, stability, and hope for families in need.
