Dear Archons and Archousai,

Welcome to the 2023 Biennial Pacific Region Boulè! The Archons and Archousai of the Pacific Region have been looking forward to hosting this event since 2021. The theme of 100 + Years of Excellence: Shaping A New Tomorrow, however, is still appropriate as Xi Boulé celebrates its two-year delayed centennial anniversary due to the COVID pandemic. Pacific Regional Sire Archon Michael Keeley, co-chairs Archons Rod Henley and Pluria Marshall, and committee members Archons Byron McLain and George Mallory, Past Grand Sire Archon Wesley Coleman and Regional Sire Archon-Elect Kanahl Kendrick have done an excellent job preparing for you to have a wonderful time in Los Angeles.

As you have noticed in the program, the three days of activities include yoga and golf; enrichment sessions on today’s civil rights issues, building and managing family and business wealth, healthy living and Blacks on Corporate Boards; the Archousai Luncheon; as well as the business meetings, receptions, gala and the Memorial Service. All of these activities will be great opportunities for you “to get to know the best of one another.”

Finally, my Archousa Carol and I were looking forward to celebrating with you at this very special occasion. But in April I was notified of my induction into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences on that same weekend in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Please accept my apologies, and I intend to see as many of you as possible before next summer’s 57^th Grand Boulé in San Diego.

Welcome to Los Angeles and our 22^nd Pacific Region Conference of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity commemorating the 100^th Anniversary of Xi Boulѐ. We have a wonderful weekend of fun, entertainment, social and business networking, content rich educational sessions but most of all the rekindling of friendships, as well as establishing new ones; in essence, getting to know the best of one another.

While this extravaganza weekend is hosted by Xi Boulѐ it represents an opportunity for each of our 19 Members to contribute by participating in fellowship and fun. We have plans that include a Grammy Museum reception, an Archousai shopping experience, live entertainment by some of the City’s finest musicians and our own, quality cuisine and the renowned Boulѐ After Dark. This paradise of opportunity thus awaits us so let’s all have a great time and event while commemorating Xi’s 100 years of excellence.

I take pleasure in congratulating Xi and in particular, those who served on the Committee to put this wonderful event together ; Co-Chairmen Rod Henley and Pluria Marshall, Committee Members Byron McLain, George Mallory and Wesley Coleman aided by the undersigned and PRSA-E Kanahl Kendrick. Thank you all for your service and commitment.

Now it’s time to have fun; take in the experience and enjoyment in the entertainment capital of the world and meet new friends; there is nothing quite like the experience that awaits and those memories you will come to cherish from this stellar event!

Sigma Pi Phi Pacific Regional Attendees,

As we celebrate 100 years of excellence, on behalf of Xi Boulé, I take this opportunity to welcome you to the 22nd Pacific Regional Conference of the Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity in Los Angeles, California. As the oldest Member Boulé in the Pacific Region, [chartered September 15, 2021] we are delighted and look forward to hosting you in Southern California as “we get to know the best of one another”.

The iconic setting of the conference is the historic Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, adjacent to Beverly Hills in West Los Angeles. Recently, the hotel which is located across the street from the remarkable outdoor Century City Mall underwent a Three Billion dollar renovation and is poised to host our conference.

From September 28, 2023, to October 1, 2023, we will conduct business meetings, facilitate content rich sessions, enjoy dinners, receptions, entertainment and fellowship on the golf course.

The theme for this year's regional is "100+ years of Excellence: Shaping a New Tomorrow." We take pride in celebrating a century of our existence and embracing our role in shaping the future of Los Angeles.

In 2021, Xi Boulé celebrated its 100th anniversary, although our festivities had to be put on hold due to the pandemic. We are now eagerly looking forward to your presence as we mark this significant milestone. The success of this celebration would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of all the Archons and Archousai of XI. We are grateful for the support of countless individuals and select corporate sponsors who have made this celebration an exceptional part of our history.
